Oakridge in Bachupally runs CBSE, IGCSE and IB. Can a child switch tracks later?

Looking at schools for our daughter for class 6 next year. Oakridge International School, Bachupally, is on the list. It offers three curricula on one campus, which on paper sounds flexible. For current or past parents: once you choose a track, do children move between them, and at what points? And in practice, do the three tracks feel like one school, or three schools sharing a gate? I'm a vice principal myself, so I know the answers can be very different on paper and on the ground.

don't know this school. at the multi-board schools i know of, switching mostly happens at the end of a stage, not in the middle of one, and only if there's a seat in the other section. worth asking them how many kids actually switched last year, not whether it's allowed

To add to the practical side, I'd ask what the tracks share day to day. Same timetable and breaks? Same buses? Same sports teams and clubs? If those are shared, it probably feels like one school. If they aren't, the 'flexibility' may mostly be on paper. We're years away from this with our son, but I've heard the shared-routine question come up a lot.

Worth adding for the IB side specifically: in IB the natural switch points are fixed by the programme itself, primary to middle years and middle years to the diploma. Moving into IB mid-programme is harder than moving out. So the answer may depend on which direction you're thinking of 😄
