Nursery near our son's school in Gachibowli, when we live in LB Nagar. Has anyone done this with a small school?

We're starting to look at nursery for our daughter for June 2027. Our son's school is out in Gachibowli and that drive happens every morning anyway, so one idea is a school close to his. One car, two drops, and pickup on the way back. Sujana Vidyanikethan came up because it's a few minutes from his school and it's small, Nursery to 4, which appeals to us for a first school. What I can't picture is the rest of her week. Every classmate would live twenty-five kilometres from us. Birthday parties, weekend playdates, the friend she wants to see on a holiday: all of that would be across the city. If you have a child at Sujana Vidyanikethan, do many families come from far away, or is it mostly the neighbourhood? And if you've chosen a school far from home for convenience, did the friendships side work out?

Our elder one went to a school near my office for primary, with home in Rajendranagar. The weekday part was fine, he liked the drive with me. The weak part was friends. By class 3 he had school friends he only ever saw at school, and colony kids who didn't really know him. Looking back, friends near home mattered more than I expected. Can't say anything about Sujana itself.

Did the colony friendships happen anyway, through the park or weekend classes? Our son's classmates are mostly from that side too and he hasn't had much of a colony life either, so I have nothing good to compare with.

A different angle: what happens on the days the usual drive doesn't happen? Your son home sick, exam weeks when his timings change, a late evening at work. From LB Nagar, a midday pickup in Gachibowli is half a day gone for whoever covers it. When we chose our son's daycare we asked who covers the worst day, not the normal one. It ruled out two options we liked.

Same debate here about our daughter's daycare, near the hospital or near home. I have nothing to add about Sujana Vidyanikethan itself. One thing that helped us decide: we drove the route at the real times, twice. The map estimate was off by about twenty minutes each way, and that changed the conversation.
