Nursery form has a milestone checklist. What do schools do with that page?

A colleague showed me the nursery application she filled for her daughter. One full page is a checklist: climbs stairs with alternating feet, speaks in three-word sentences, holds a crayon properly, and so on. Our son is 1, so it's not our problem yet. But I read reference ranges for a living, and this looks like one with no range. Is that page used for selection, or is it just for the teacher?

We've been collecting forms for our twins for next year, and two schools had this page. I filled it once for each boy. Same age to the day, and they came out different on almost half the points. When I asked, one school said it is for the class teacher, not for selection. Can't say that for every school though.

Twins, same birthday, different answers. That's the best argument for not reading much into it. Thanks.
