No textbooks in grade 2. How do you know what they covered this week?

IB school, grade 2. No textbooks, worksheets come home some days and not others. The weekly email gives the unit theme but nothing on what they did in maths or reading. When I ask my son he says "we did inquiry". Do other IB parents just trust the process, or is there somewhere to look that I'm missing?
