inter school match, he's playing for his team. his parents can't make it so i said i'd go. never been inside DAE colony, no idea if outsiders can just walk in for a school match or if there's some gate pass thing. also coming from madinaguda, how early should i leave on a saturday morning

Carry a photo ID either way. Gated colonies usually check at the gate, and having it saves a back-and-forth. From your side I'd allow a good hour and a bit on a Saturday morning. Tarnaka and the stretch towards ECIL can be slow even at weekends. Hope he scores ❤️

Up for a work incident and saw this. I'd ask your nephew to check with his coach or PE teacher whether visitors' names need to be given at the gate in advance. Some places want a list for school events, some don't care. Better to know before you drive across the city.

Ask your nephew to check with the team in-charge sir, they'll know the entry process. And carry water and a cap, school matches usually mean sitting out in the sun 🙂

Having sat through a lot of my son's inter-school matches: the time on the schedule is a suggestion. Ours have started anywhere from on time to an hour late. Take something to read, and a folding stool if you have one.

One small thing: tell your nephew you're coming. Mine, at that age, preferred to know in advance who would be watching, and he played better when it wasn't a surprise. It's good of you to go.
