My son kept a tally during the coaching centre's counselling session

We went for a counselling session at a coaching centre on Sunday. The package runs from class 9 through class 12, and the message was that the 'serious students' all join now. On the way home my son, who is 14 and had been very quiet, showed me his phone. He'd been keeping count in his notes. 'Serious students': 11. 'Limited seats': 6. 'Your child's future': 4. We haven't decided anything yet. I'm just glad one of us was listening for the right things.

We sat through a very similar talk last year. The seats were limited in March and still limited in August. Your son has good instincts. I'd let him sit in on the final decision as well.
