My daughter found a mistake in her geography textbook and wants to write to the publisher

Half-yearly revision, yesterday afternoon. She suddenly sat up and announced that a river on one of the maps is flowing the wrong way. She checked it in an atlas, then online, then made me check. She was right ❤️ She has now drafted a very polite, very long letter that begins "Dear Sir/Madam, I regret to inform you". I've never seen her this happy about geography.

As a teacher, please let her send it. The students who catch errors are the ones reading properly. I would only make sure she shows it to her geography teacher first, partly for courtesy and partly because, in my experience, about half of the 'errors' students bring me turn out to be misreadings. Hers sounds like a genuine one, though.
