made my 2 yr old a paper office id so he'd give mine back. now he checks everyone's at the door

he'd been grabbing my id card every morning and running off with it, so i made him his own. cardboard, his photo, 'manager' written on it because he insisted. now he stands at the door each morning and asks to see ids. our help has been let in twice without one. my partner has not.

Your partner should appeal. Ours grabs the lift card and the appeals process is a full tantrum.

ours is too small for this but he already pulls the lanyard every time i pick him up. keeping the cardboard idea for later

If he's pulling at it already, a breakaway lanyard is worth getting, the kind that snaps open when tugged. My younger one used to swing off mine at that age. The cardboard ID is such a sweet idea ❤️

Mine went through the same thing with my car keys. She's sixteen now and still takes them, so be warned, it may stick.

And on the day you forget yours, does he let you go to work? 🙂

Ha. Our older one ran a ticket counter at the bathroom door for a week. Paper tickets, no refunds 🤷‍♂️
