Is it reasonable to take a baby along on a short site visit, with the caregiver waiting in the car?

I'm back at work, and on days I have to be out the caregiver comes along with the baby. Next week there's a site visit in Kompally, about forty minutes each way and an hour on site. The building is at plaster stage, so it's dust and noise; nobody small is coming inside. The plan is baby and caregiver in the car with the AC on, parked in the shade, while I go in. Does that sound reasonable in this heat, or is two hours of driving plus waiting too much for a baby this small? The alternative is leaving them at home and hoping the feed timing works out.

We did a lot of car waiting with our daughter when she was a baby, mostly outside banks and offices. It was fine for an hour if the car stayed cool and someone sat with her. What went wrong was always the engine being switched off 'just for a minute'. In Chennai heat that minute is long.

Same lesson here. And look at the parking before you go. The shade at 10 is full sun by 12.

Is there anything near the site, a café or someone's office, where they could wait instead of the car? Our caregiver once sat with our son in a client's reception during a meeting of mine and he slept through it. The car plan sounds fine to me. I'd just plan for the feed in case the visit runs long. Site visits always run long.
