If we shift to Santosh Nagar she'd join Springdales High School for class 10. Bad timing?

We're thinking of moving to a bigger place on the Santosh Nagar side, closer to my partner's hospital. If it happens it'll be around April, which means our daughter (class 9 now) starts a new school in her board year. Springdales High School is one we're looking at since it's State Board like her current school, so at least the syllabus stays the same. The other options are delaying the move by a year, or moving and keeping her where she is with a long drive every day for one year. Neither sounds great. Anyone moved a child just before class 10? Or know how Springdales settles students who join at that stage?

What does she want? At her age she will have an opinion, and it matters more than the school.

i'd delay the move. one more year of the old rent beats new school, new teachers and new friends in the board year. mine is in class 7 so this is from watching others, but two families in our building did the class 10 shift and both said they'd time it differently

boards are years away for us but my parents moved me in class 9. hated the first term, was fine by the second. so maybe not the end of the world either way

That's where I'm leaning too. She says she doesn't mind either way, which at that age usually means she minds a lot and hasn't decided in which direction 😊 Going to talk to her properly this weekend.
