Her cousin in Texas is on holiday too, so the video calls start at 11 pm. School reopens in two weeks

Calls till 2 or 3, sleep till noon. It has been like this for most of May. School reopens in about two weeks and I want her up at 6 by then. Shift it a little each day, or one hard reset the weekend before?

What does 'by then' mean to her? If she agrees it's a problem, it shifts quickly. If it's only your plan, she'll keep the calls and just be tired. With my elder one, we moved the calls to the cousins' mornings, which is our evening, and the sleep followed in about a week.

Fifteen minutes earlier every two days worked for our son last year. Lights out at the new time and the phone charging outside the room. The first three mornings he sat at breakfast like a zombie, then he was fine. She'll get there.

Phone charging outside the room is the whole trick in our house, and also the whole fight. We lasted four nights before 'I need it for the alarm'. Bought him a cheap alarm clock. Solved, mostly.
