Guardian doing the daily school run, enquiring at Unicent School Hafeezpet for my niece

maple_diary_9433

My niece is 9 and lives with her parents in Hafeezpet. Her parents and I agreed some time ago that I'd handle the daily school drop and pickup and most of the day-to-day school communication, since my work hours are the most flexible of the three of us. We're looking at Unicent School Hafeezpet for next year. The enquiry form has fields for father and mother and nothing else, and I'm the one who'll be at the gate every day. Her parents will of course sign the admission itself. Has anyone here been the authorised adult for a child who isn't theirs? What did the school ask for: a letter from the parents, ID copies, a separate pickup form? I'd like to walk in with the right documents rather than get sent back twice ❤️

Not at this school, but I went through the same thing for my son's caregiver at an IB school. There the admission form only needed the parents. Pickup authorisation was a separate form: name, photo, ID copy and the parents' signatures for each adult allowed to collect him. The gate staff had a copy. I'd ask the Unicent office directly whether they have a separate authorised-adult form, and whether it can list you for school communication as well as pickup. Those are sometimes two different permissions.
