Grandson may start class 1 at SR Digi School in Balanagar. Are screens a big part of the early classes?

My grandson's parents are considering SR Digi School in Balanagar for his class 1 next June. The decision is theirs. I spend most afternoons with him, and between us we have worked hard to keep screens to a small part of his day. The name made me wonder. Does "digital" mean smart boards in the classroom, or homework done on a tablet at home as well? Anyone who has seen the classrooms or has a child there, I would be grateful to know.

haven't been there. at my daughter's school 'digital' meant a smart board in each class, teacher plays videos sometimes. no devices for the kids till class 5. worth asking them what it means for class 1 specifically

Adding this to our list too. Did homework ever come on an app at that age, or was it all notebooks?

Smart boards are common now and are mostly the teacher's tool. The question that tells you more is whether practice or homework is set on a device at home. That's where the screen time adds up.

My daughter's school went 'digital' when she was in class 3. For us it meant the homework diary moved to an app, which meant my phone in her hands every evening. Ask about that part.
