grade 4 presentations every friday means prop hunting every thursday night

grade 4 has a presentation every friday now. every one needs a model or props or a poster. so every thursday at 9 pm we're hunting for chart paper and a shoebox. this week it was a volcano. he's 9 and he enjoys the presenting part. it's thursday nights i'm struggling with. does anyone's school give the topics a week ahead or is this just how it is
