First dance class. She sat on the mat and watched all 45 minutes
3 yr old. Begged for weeks. Got there, sat down by the mirror, didn't move. Clapped at the end like it was a show 😂 Do they join in eventually or did I just pay to watch her watch?

How long is the trial? Two or three weeks of watching is normal at that age. If the teacher starts pushing her to join on day one, that's what I'd worry about, not the watching.
yes. my younger one watched swimming from the side for a whole month. then jumped in one day on his own. didn't even look at us 😄
