First appraisal since coming back from maternity leave, and the rating is 'meets expectations'

Appraisal letters came out this week. I got 'meets expectations' with a note that I've 'settled back in well'. Two people who joined the team after me were promoted. The year included the last of my leave, then a few months of leaving at 5.30 for daycare pickup while I found my feet. My manager has never said a word about the hours. The work I shipped in the second half was some of my best, and none of it is mentioned. Did you raise it after your first post-leave appraisal, or wait a cycle and make sure the next one couldn't be read that way? I don't want to come across as bitter, but I also don't want this to become the pattern ❤️
