FA1 report says my class 2 daughter 'needs to improve writing speed'

First formative assessment report came home today. Every subject fine, and then one line at the bottom for English and EVS: needs to improve writing speed. Her letters are neat. She just takes her time, and now and then stops to draw a small flower next to an answer. I can't tell whether this means she isn't finishing papers, or whether the teacher is comparing her with the fastest three kids in the room. Is writing speed something you practise at home at this age, with a timer or copy writing or whatever? Or is it better to ask the teacher at the PTM what she has seen before I start anything?
