End of UKG. Is a card from her enough for the class teacher, or does everyone give a gift?

Last few days of UKG. Her class teacher has been very good with her this year, and she wants to give her something. Her own plan is a card with a drawing of the two of them holding hands outside the classroom. Already half done. Meanwhile the class group wants to pool money for a gift, and the amount being discussed is more than I expected for UKG. I'd rather just send the card and maybe something small from us. Is that odd? Teachers here, what do you remember getting?
