durga puja on the vanasthalipuram side, or do we drive across town again?

every year we end up doing the long drive to one of the big pujas across the city, and by the time we've parked my son is done. he's 6 and this year he really wants to see the dhunuchi dancing, which means staying late. does anyone know of a smaller puja on the east side, lb nagar, dilsukhnagar, anywhere around there? doesn't need to be grand. somewhere he can sit on a mat and eat bhog without us fighting crowds would be lovely.

Which ones have you been to before? Hard to suggest anything without knowing whether the problem was the crowd or the drive. The big ones are a very different experience on a weekday evening than on the last two nights.

Not Bengali, so no inside info, but my colleagues from Kolkata go to a smaller one on our side every year and say the early evenings are calm. There must be something similar near you. Ask around your colony, some aunty will know 😄
