Does State Board make sense for class 1? Someone suggested Gowtham Vidyalaya in SR Nagar

We're in Gachibowli and starting a list for class 1 next year. Our daughter is in preschool now. Most of what's around us is CBSE or international, and the fee sheets alone have been an education. A colleague mentioned Gowtham Vidyalaya in SR Nagar and said State Board in the early classes is calmer. I don't know if that's true or just her own child's experience. Also, SR Nagar is not exactly close. Two questions: does the board matter much at class 1, and has anyone done Gachibowli to SR Nagar at school-opening time?

at class 1 the board barely shows. reading, writing, numbers, everywhere. it starts to matter around class 6 or 7, so i'd think about where you'd want her then too

gachibowli to SR nagar at 8 am. ameerpet stretch. i'd try the drive once on a school day before deciding anything 😅

My son was in State Board till class 10, then intermediate. Compared with his cousins in CBSE, the first few years felt about the same, just different books. Telugu was the subject that needed work at home, since we speak Hindi and Urdu. Worth asking how much Telugu starts in class 1.
