Does Hyderabad Public School take children above nursery, or is entry mostly at the bottom?

Looking at next year for both boys. The younger one would be nursery, the older one class 3. Hyderabad Public School in Begumpet came up when my parents were asking around, it's on their side of the city. What I can't work out is whether they take children into class 3 at all, or whether nearly everyone comes in at the start and stays. Don't want to plan around a school that would only work for one of the two. Anyone who has been through admissions there, even a few years ago?

We considered it for our son some years ago and didn't apply in the end, so this is limited. What I remember from asking around then is that nobody could give us a clear answer about the higher classes, and we stopped there. I'd ask the office directly whether class 3 had any openings in the last two years, rather than rely on what other parents assume, including me.

fair. going to ring them tomorrow with just the class 3 question. if it's a no, that settles half of it

A separate question worth thinking through: if the older one gets in and the younger doesn't, or the other way round, would you still go ahead? I've watched colleagues go through this with two children, and answering it early decided which forms they bothered with.

Bowenpally side here, toddler still. Following for the nursery part. Is Malkajgiri to Begumpet manageable for a nursery child in the morning?
