Do schools around Puppalaguda hold class 9 entrance tests before or after the class 8 finals?

Ma vaadu is in class 8 and we're thinking of moving him for class 9. Nothing wrong with the current school, he just wants more lab time for science and a couple of schools nearby seem to give more of that. The timing is what confuses me. Do schools here usually test for class 9 in December or January, or after the annual exams? If it's December it overlaps with his own pre-finals and I'd rather he not juggle both. Anyone who did a class 9 switch last year, konchem tell me how it ran 🙂
