Both our jobs can run until 6 and commute is unpredictable. A nearby daycare is open until 7:30, but I worry that a very long day will be tiring. The commute to childcare mattered more than we expected. A slightly less fancy place five minutes away ended up being much easier for the whole family. We are in Kochi and this came up for us last year.
