Daycare is adding a 'curriculum fee' for the toddler room. What curriculum?

mellow_kite_823

Circular came today. From July there's a new 'early learning curriculum' for the toddler room, billed separately on top of the regular monthly fee. My daughter isn't even two. Her day is eating, napping, crying at the door and stacking cups. I asked what the curriculum is. Answer: 'structured activities aligned to developmental milestones'. That isn't an answer. Has anyone pushed back on something like this, or asked to see the actual weekly plan before paying?

Our daycare in Pune tried something similar last year and called it a 'Montessori enrichment' add-on. A few of us asked for the weekly plan, and what came back was a list of things the toddlers were already doing, now with names. In the end they made it optional. Did yours say whether it's compulsory, or can parents opt out?
