Daughter wants to change to a CBSE school for class 9 because her friends are going

Three of her close friends are moving to a CBSE school for class 9 next year and now my daughter also wants to go. Every evening same topic. I don't know much about CBSE. Her school now is fine, teachers are good, no complaints. My worry is if she changes in class 9, then class 10 board exam comes immediately, new syllabus, new teachers, new everything. Did anyone's child change board in class 9? Was it okay or too much?

Find out what she actually wants first. Is it the CBSE syllabus, or is it staying with those three friends? If it's the friends, they may well split up again after class 10 anyway. That's a lot of change to take on for two years together.

  Good question, I didn't think of it like that. I asked her last night. Mostly it is the friends, she admitted. But she also says CBSE is better if she wants medical later. I don't know if that is true or something the friends told her. So still thinking.
