My daughter is twelve and her friends are already talking about concerts, so I've thought about this a fair bit. For me the questions would be practical ones. Who drops them and who collects them, and where exactly? Is there one fixed meeting point inside if they get separated? Are phones charged, and is there a power bank between them? And what time is the show really expected to end, not what the ticket says. If the answers are solid, a yes with conditions might feel better to both of you than a flat no ❤️

We let ours go at 15 to a show in Chennai with her cousins. Rules were simple: we dropped, we picked up from a spot we fixed beforehand, live location on the whole time, and if anything felt off she could call and nobody would ask questions till the next day. I was more nervous than she was. She came back hoarse and very happy, and asked if she could go to the next one. If the older sister is going in with them, that changes things a bit too 🙂
