Class teacher agreed the accommodations. Do the subject teachers know?
Our daughter is in class 5 in Bengaluru, and this is the first year she has a different teacher for each subject. Her assessment was done in the summer. In July we met the class teacher and agreed on three things: a seat near the front, instructions written on the board as well as said aloud, and ten extra minutes for written tests. The class teacher has been consistent. The mid-term papers suggest the others may not have been told. She did not get the extra time in Hindi or maths, and when I asked her about it, she said she didn't want to remind the teacher in front of everyone. I do not want to assume the school ignored it; it may simply not have been passed on. For those who have dealt with this once there are subject teachers: is it usual to meet each of them, or is there normally one person who circulates the plan? And how did you check it was being followed without making your child the messenger?
