Class 5 has started pairing everyone off, and our daughter is the current joke

Some of the children in her class have started announcing who 'likes' whom. This week it's her and a boy she sits next to in maths. She came home annoyed rather than upset, and asked whether she could change her seat. My instinct is to let it pass. The school year ends in a couple of weeks, sections get reshuffled in June, and asking the teacher to move her might turn it into a bigger story. My partner's view is that she asked us for help, so we should take that seriously and write to the teacher. Both seem reasonable to me. I don't know which one she'll remember.
