Class 1 application asks for both parents' income and employer. Did you fill that in?

We are filling in Class 1 applications for our younger daughter for next June. Two of the three forms ask for both parents' annual income, employer name and designation. Our older daughter's school did not ask for any of this when she joined, though that was nearly ten years ago. I would rather not put my employer on a form that goes to several schools, and the income question feels unnecessary at the application stage. Did you fill these fields in? If you left them blank or wrote something like 'will share if required', did it affect anything?

When we applied in Bengaluru, some years back now, two of the four schools asked for income. One explained it was for their fee-concession records; the other never said why. For that one we wrote 'to be discussed at the interaction'. Nobody raised it at the interaction and our son got the seat. The employer we did fill in, because they wanted an office contact for emergencies. I would ask the office what the field is used for before deciding. If they cannot say, that is also an answer.
