carpenter around AS Rao Nagar who'll cut a study table down to kid height
old study table, too tall for the boys (4 and 5). both want to 'do homework' at it once school starts. don't want to buy new. anyone who takes small jobs like this

How much shorter, and is it solid wood or board? Those are the first two things any carpenter will ask. Put them in the post and you'll get better answers.
fair. about 20 cm off. solid wood, legs don't unscrew, checked.
The carpenter who changed our crib side in Ameerpet travels for small jobs, but I'd rather not put his number here. Ask at the nearest hardware shop. They usually know exactly who does this kind of work and who turns up.
Before cutting, think about raising the chairs instead. Kids grow and the table can't grow back. We put a firm cushion and a footrest at the dining table for our son and it's worked fine for months.
