Can my mother do the first nursery school visits instead of me?

We're planning for nursery in June 2027 and I'd like to see four or five schools around Domalguda and Himayatnagar before the forms open. Every school I've called says visiting hours are weekday mornings, 10 to 1. Those are my theatre and clinic hours, and I can't take five mornings off for first impressions. My mother lives close by and would happily go. Do schools take a grandparent seriously at a first visit, or does it come across as parents who aren't bothered? I'd go myself for anything that looks like a shortlist.

surgeon here too. sent my mother for the first round years ago when he was small. she came back with better questions than i would have asked, mostly about toilets and water 😄

Fine for a first visit, at least in our time. For the interaction or interview, most schools wanted a parent. Ask on the phone first so nobody's surprised.
