Can class 6 children carry a basic phone at Jyothi Model School in Dilsukhnagar?

Might be on the Dilsukhnagar side from next year. Nothing final. Son would go into class 6. If we move, he'd be coming home on his own for the first time, van or auto, and I'm at the university till 5 most days. His current school bans phones outright, which never mattered because I could do pickup 😄 Does anyone know what Jyothi Model School allows for the middle classes? A keypad phone handed in at the office, kept switched off in the bag, or nothing at all?

Which side of Dilsukhnagar would you be living? For an 11 year old the trip home itself will decide this more than the school's rule. A ten-minute walk and a forty-minute auto ride are very different questions.

I don't know this particular school, I'm afraid. One suggestion from our own search: ask for the class 6 rule specifically. Several schools we looked at had one policy for the primary section and a different one for the middle classes, and the office answered with whichever came to mind first.
