Both of her daycare teachers left in March, and drop-off is back to week one

Our daughter is eighteen months or so, and she's been going to one daycare in Bachupally for most of that. She was happy there. Then both the akkas in her room left within two weeks of each other in March. The two new ones are kind, but they are new. Since then every drop-off is like the first week all over again. She holds my collar with both fists and the new teacher has to peel her off. By the time I reach my own school gate they send a photo of her playing, so I know it passes. In the evenings she wants to be carried by one of us the whole time, and she points at the old teacher's chair in the photos and says 'akka?'. That part gets me. Is this a few weeks of adjusting, or should we be asking the daycare something specific? We have no family nearby, so changing daycares is not an easy option for us anyway.

my son's creche changed almost every adult in his room the year he turned two. i remember the collar grip exactly. what i don't remember is when it stopped, which probably says something. he's twenty now and has no memory of any of them.

How long since the new teachers started, two weeks or six? And is it only drop-off, or has her eating or napping there changed too? If it's drop-off and the photo shows her playing ten minutes later, that's a transition. If the day itself has changed, ask them what exactly they've seen, not 'is she okay'. You'll always get 'she's fine' to that.
