baby's birth certificate still says 'male child' with no name. does it matter for school later

son is 11 months. we got the birth certificate from the hospital registration and the name field just says male child. we never went back to add the name. a relative says schools won't take it like this and it gets harder after the first year. is that true? where did you get the name added
