Asked to move my daily call from 7.30 to 7, which is the only half hour I get with my son before preschool

Mornings are mine, evenings are my partner's. At the moment I'm up at six, we have breakfast together, I get him dressed, and I join the 7.30 call from the balcony once he's in the van. If the call moves to 7, I'm on mute through breakfast and my partner has to take the mornings as well. The reason is fair enough. Two people on the overseas side have moved their working day earlier, and everyone else has already said yes. I can say no, but I'd be the only one. I can't decide between holding on to one half hour and not being the person everyone else has to adjust around.

say no. offer 7 on two days, keep 7.30 the rest. they'll take it. did this for school drop years ago and nobody remembers it now

Two days late to this, did you decide? I'd keep the half hour. Clinic starts at 9 for me and the morning with my son is fixed; everything else moves around it. Once you give that time up it's much harder to get back, because by then it's become everyone's assumption.
