Schools Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad Gowtham Model School

Any buddy system or Telugu help for children joining class 3 at Gowtham Model School, Vanasthalipuram?

Our son starts class 2 at his ICSE school in June, and there's a chance we move east next year. Nothing is fixed, but if we do, Gowtham Model School in Vanasthalipuram would be high on our list for class 3. He's an easy-going child, but he hates being the one who doesn't know what's going on. For parents whose children joined there in the primary years: was there any help to settle in, like a buddy, extra Telugu support or a teacher who checks in? Or is it mostly up to the child and the parents at home?

We don't have a child there, but a family in our building moved their son into a State Board school in class 3 last year. Their advice to me was to get the previous year's textbooks in advance, especially Telugu and EVS, and go through them slowly over the summer. Their son found the English easier than he expected and the Telugu much harder. The first two months were the worst, then it evened out.
