after years of my older son's long bus rides, looking at olive school in kphb for the little one

my older son is 16 now and he's spent ten years on a school bus, nearly an hour each way. he read a lot of books on that bus, so not all bad, but i don't want the same for my 4 year old. olive school is a few minutes from us in kphb and goes from pre-nursery to class 7. he'd start lkg next june. i'm mostly wondering about the everyday stuff. do the small ones come by auto or do parents drop them, what's the gate like in the morning, how long does lkg run. i work a late clinic so mornings are mine, it's the afternoon collection my partner would do

We looked at a few schools on that side of KPHB when our son was starting, but not Olive, so their timings I don't know. What I remember from those visits is that between 8 and 8.30 the lanes there are full of autos and bikes. If you'll be dropping him, go once at the actual time and see. Distance on the map and the morning reality were quite different for us 🙂

ten years of bus rides and he came out of it a reader, there are worse outcomes. for the little one i'd ask what lkg does in the last hour. in some schools the day is long on paper and the last bit is mostly waiting for buses. if your partner collects early he might miss nothing, or he might be the only one leaving. worth asking
