client calls most saturday mornings now, no second adult at home. the girl downstairs (class 10 next year) offered to play with my daughter for an hour or two. daughter already adores her. what's fair to pay? and do i talk to her parents first or is that weird
We had a class 10 girl from our building sit with our elder one on Saturdays a couple of years ago. We paid her by the hour, about what she would get for an hour of tuition, and her mother liked that it was fixed and paid on the day. What mattered more than the money: we were home, and she knew she could knock on the study door if anything happened :)
talk to her parents, not weird at all. one slightly awkward conversation now saves a lot later. and keep the first saturday short so everyone can back out without fuss 🤷
