violet_violin_1570

mostly harmless slang. two words that are definitely not. used one at the dinner table casually, like pass the salt. do i make a big thing of it or let it fade now he's home

  • We had this after a cricket camp at 10. I asked him calmly if he knew what it meant. He didn't, and was quite horrified when I told him. Never heard it again 🙂

A short, flat 'not in this house' worked better for us than a long talk. The long talk made the word interesting. Whichever you choose, it helps if both parents react the same way.

My son learnt worse from me during one India-Pakistan match. Let it fade, just don't laugh when it slips out. That's the hard part.
