I asked her directly, as suggested. The answer was yes for the first match, as long as I sit with the other parents and do not shout her name. My colleague has agreed to take the morning list. The burger place is noted.

A walk to school is worth a lot in the primary years, especially if both of you work. We moved our daughter closer in class 4 and her evenings changed completely. The class 8 question is real though. I'd want the next school identified before joining, not after.
