I was a teacher for many years in Varanasi. In our school, if the parents gave one letter naming the guardian, with their signatures and a copy of ID, we accepted the guardian's signature for the whole year. The office kept it in the student's file. Ask your school if they will do the same. Beta, it is good that you are looking after your sister's studies.

In our Varanasi galli also there were so many dogs, my children grew up with them. We never ran at dogs, we stood still and let them come. Your parents are worried, it is natural, grandparents worry double. But don't stop the walks, the child needs her evening outside. Just keep her hand.

I don't know about film clubs here, I came only for my granddaughter. But in Varanasi when I was teaching, the college had a film society and the schoolchildren used to come and sit at the back. The teenagers argued more than anybody. Ask at the colleges near you, beti, they may let her sit in.
