0on My 12 year old's friends keep joking that his mum had a baby 'at her age'
Correct. Boys tease about everything at this age. When my son was in class 7, his friends started calling him 'hardware' because our shop board has the family name on it. He was angry for some days. One month later nobody remembered. If it goes on longer than that, then talk to the teacher.
0on I answer six-year-olds' questions all day and come home with none left for my own 3 year old
With my son also it was like this. At 3 he wanted to know why every machine in my shop makes noise. Now he is in hostel and calls when he needs money, so enjoy the questions while they are still coming to you.
0on Would Kakatiya Techno School in Chandrayangutta test an ICSE boy joining class 3?
One thing from a father who has done the long road. In my experience the class 3 test at schools on this side is simple, reading and some sums, so don't worry much there. Think about CBSE or State for the long run. My son went State Board and then inter MPC with coaching, and for that route State was fine. If your boy may write national exams or you may change cities later, CBSE is easier to carry. Choose for class 8 onwards, not for class 3.
0on Class 6 seating is boy-girl this year and my son is treating it like a punishment
This is the old method only. In our time also schools did it, boy girl boy girl, so nobody is chatting. My son is in inter now at a residential college and there boys and girls are on separate floors, so no such issue. Let him sit where the teacher says. Class 6 is when they should start focusing anyway.
4on At every check-up the paediatrician explains things to my mother, not to me
Same in our time. Doctor always spoke to the ladies, I only drove the scooter and waited outside. Now my son is 16 and goes to the doctor by himself, so it changes.
