0on Leaving a 13 year old home alone during an evening function
I'm years away from this, my boys are two (twins). But I grew up in Chennai being left at home at 12 with a neighbour aunty told to listen for the door. A specific neighbour on call might settle your partner more than the phone does. Hope Saturday went okay.
0on IB final year plus SAT coaching on weekends, or let the SAT go?
Mine are two, so I'm nowhere near this. But I did GMAT prep while working full-time and the weekends were what broke first, then sleep. The fact that he's asking for it himself counts for a lot, though.
6on Is it usual for a degree college to hold on to the original certificates for all three years?
When I joined my MBA programme they kept the originals for about six weeks for verification and returned everything except the TC. That was a while ago and it varies a lot by college, but it is worth asking whether 'deposit' means verification only. Get attested photocopies made before you hand anything over.
1on Holiday homework done in week one. Then the notebook vanished. Found today.
Reading this with twin two-year-olds who hide the TV remote in the rice bin. Good to know the instinct lasts.
