0on How much should a teen explain about a missed deadline?
State what was missed and ask about the next permitted step. Avoid a dramatic defence.
3on Relatives keep asking if my 4 year old can write yet
When my son was at that stage, most of the pressure came from relatives and parent groups rather than from any school we applied to. We put one plain question to each school: what would you like a child to be comfortable with on the first day. The answers were more about routines than writing. Have you been able to speak to someone from admissions directly yet?
0on Questions about the stretch between lunch and dispersal
The pickup handoff is worth asking about separately; it gets lost in a discussion about subjects.
0on A drawing explains the answer better than the written line
Describing a drawing aloud first could help the student turn visual understanding into words. I wouldn't start with spelling corrections.
0on The backup adult didn't know the activity had moved
Ask the organiser which location is authoritative when announcements conflict.
0on The shortlist changes after we discuss the child
You can ask about routines and transitions instead of trying to infer a child's future happiness.
