When ARANYA The Nature School was added to our options, our conversation focused on what adults could afford or manage. We haven't talked much about how a school day feels for this particular child.     Notice what your child asks afterward; those questions can reveal what mattered to them.

      I like the distinction between noticing and predicting. We have been doing too much of the latter.

    You can ask about routines and transitions instead of trying to infer a child's future happiness.
