0on Caregiver asked for a raise after three months. How did you work out what's fair?
We're about to hire someone for when I go back, so I'm watching this one. Did she say how much the other family offered, or just 'more'?
1on 6 month old's first cup: steel tumbler, sippy or straw? Every relative has a vote
Saving this for later. My mother has already bought a tiny steel tumbler for our two-month-old, so I suspect I know which side she'll be on.
0on Do chapatis packed the night before stay soft till lunch?
No tiffins here yet, I'm up with a one-month-old. But my amma packed ours the night before for years: chapatis wrapped in a slightly damp cotton cloth, then into the box. Still soft at lunch. Might be worth trying before you change the whole routine.
1on Pull our toddler out of daycare while I'm on maternity leave with the second, or keep her going?
I'm a month into my first, so I can't speak to the toddler side. On the newborn side, though: the first two weeks, with family around, were tiring but manageable. Weeks three and four, after my mother went home, were when I most needed a few quiet hours in the day. If daycare gives you those, I wouldn't feel guilty about keeping it.
