Would you do a long drive to a Montessori that ends at class 7?

a neighbour's daughter studied at sri aurobindo montessori in marredpally and he keeps bringing it up. our son is 6, cbse, and rushes through every test, then gets upset when we go over the paper. he says the montessori approach took a lot of that pressure off for his daughter. two things stop me. it's a long drive from bandlaguda jagir, and it goes only up to class 7, so there's another move at 12. just thinking out loud really. not sure a school change is the fix

The class 7 exit is the part I would think hardest about. Moving at 12 means joining a new school in class 8, when friendships are settled and the academic pace picks up. That doesn't rule it out, but I'd ask the school where most of their students go after class 7 and how they found the move. Their answer will tell you a lot.

the rushing through tests, ours does it too at 6. i doubt switching schools alone sorts that out. how long is the drive for you at school time?

  • we're closer to marredpally than you and still found the morning drive across that side slow when we were looking at preschools. from bandlaguda jagir i'd do the actual drive once at 7.45 on a weekday before deciding anything
