When does Telugu start for the youngest children at Ravindra Bharathi Global School, Champapet?

We may move to the LB Nagar side next year, and Ravindra Bharathi in Champapet is one of the schools I have started reading about. Our daughter isn't even one, so this is early, but language is the one thing I keep coming back to. We speak Malayalam and English at home. Neither of us reads Telugu. For families like ours at a State Board school, when does Telugu begin, and how much help did you have to give at home in the first few years?

not specific to this school but in most state board schools i know telugu starts as rhymes and letters in nursery. proper writing comes later. my sons friends from non telugu homes managed fine, a couple of the parents used a tutor for an hour a week around class 2 or 3. very doable

ask them directly, it varies. my daughter's preschool does telugu rhymes from day one and nobody at home minds that she sings them better than us

That's reassuring, thank you. I wouldn't mind at all if she ended up singing something I can't. I'll ask the school when admissions open, and about the help at home too.

Same worry here, Hindi at home. My son has picked up more Telugu from our building watchman than from any class, so I've relaxed about it a bit. The reading and writing part is what I'd ask the school about.
