What is the move from CBSE to Shakuntala High School in Dilsukhnagar like for a class 4 girl?

Asking for my brother's family, who move to the Dilsukhnagar side next month. His daughter goes into class 4. She's in a CBSE school now, and Shakuntala High School is State Board and close to their new place. Three specific questions. Is English the medium from the start, or is there Telugu-medium teaching in the lower classes? How much written Telugu does a class 4 joiner need? Do they take admissions in late May and June, or is that too late? I'd rather hear from someone who has dealt with the school than general opinions about State Board.

Not this school, but on the Telugu question: your brother should ask whether a joiner can take an easier Telugu paper for the first year. Some state board schools allow that, some don't. That one answer will tell him a lot.

we're in vanasthalipuram, not far from there. don't know anyone at shakuntala. but your brother should go in person with the tc and the last report card. schools around here seem to answer much more directly at the counter than on the phone

this. telugu is the gap for joiners. in our older one's class the kids who came from cbse struggled with the telugu paper for most of a year, the rest was fine
