What do tests look like in the primary classes at DAV Public School, Kukatpally?

We're in Begumpet for now, and since we don't know yet where we'll be living next year, my class 3 list is spread all over the city. DAV Public School in Kukatpally is on it because a colleague's daughter studies there and seems happy. How are the class 2 and 3 children assessed: weekly tests, unit tests, marks or grades? Our son is in an ICSE school where the primary classes have very few formal tests, and I'm trying to picture what a change would feel like for him.

Can't speak for DAV's primary section. The CBSE schools I know around Sanathnagar started proper unit tests with marks from class 3, and class 1 and 2 were more worksheets and grades. Worth asking them directly whether that's how they do it.

From the teaching side, the bigger shift for a child is often not the tests but the amount of written work that comes with them. When you visit, ask what a normal week of class 3 homework looks like, in pages. For a child coming from fewer tests, that number is the real adjustment, more than the assessment policy.
